Job summary

ymcastark is seeking an outgoing, part-time health and wellness professional to support health seekers of all ages in reaching total well-being goals through fun and engaging strategies. The role centers on friendly member service in a positive, safe environment.

Shifts are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m. with a starting rate of $11.30 per hour. Part-time staff receive complimentary memberships and discounted rates for child care and most programs.

Qualifications

• Must create a safe, enjoyable environment that promotes member well-being and engagement.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities; adaptable and empathetic.
• Exercise science background preferred, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with members.
• Maintain knowledge of wellness trends.
• Ensure safe environment and functioning equipment.
• Help members reach their goals.
• Monitor Wellness Center as directed.

Candidate must be able to provide service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes healthy member well‑being and engagement

• Experience working with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
• Background in exercise science or related field preferred, but willing to train.
