Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Application Engineer to deliver flawless execution across drilling operations, from pre‑planning to post‑job analysis. You will design well profiles, analyze risks, and develop technical solutions aligned with customer objectives, while collaborating with field teams and Sales to optimize outcomes.

Role requires at least 5 years in well planning/applications engineering, advanced English, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Well planning/Applications engineering within Drilling Services.
Advanced English (spoken and written).
Willingness to travel (rig sites, facilities, meetings).
On-call availability outside normal business hours.
Excellent interpersonal, influencing and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
Collaborate with Service Delivery Coordinator/Sales to understand client objectives.
Design well profiles and perform applications engineering tasks including risk mitigation and contingency plans.
Work on field incidents related to products/services.
Participate in incident investigations as required.
Provide sales support and product application recommendations.
Handle special projects as required.
