Job summary

Baker Hughes in Mount Pleasant, PA invites a Field Specialist IV - LWD to join our Drilling Services Team. You will apply Logging While Drilling expertise at the well site, working with field engineers to solve moderately complex problems and support client operations.

Two-year technical degree preferred; industry experience and product line training required. You will lead, mentor, and communicate with customers and subcontractors while upholding Baker Hughes safety and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

As Field Specialist you will be provide resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

As a LWD Field Specialist you will develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Logging while Drilling services at the well site.

As field specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Under minimal supervision provide direct instruction and supervision to junior Field Engineers on day‑to‑day wellsite work and activities.
• Provide advice and direction to external customer and third‑party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.
• Provide resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the wellsite where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's tool(s)and/or service(s).
• Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met.
• Acts as a project leader and mentors junior field engineers.
• Expected to maintain frequent intra‑organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.
• Executes other related duties as assigned. Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Minimum Requirements:

Two year Technical Degree preferred. Industry experience and product line training required.
