Job summary

RK Industries is seeking a Welding Trainer to develop, train and support welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding, working closely with Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations to ensure qualified welders deliver quality welds on schedule.

The role requires hands-on welding, the ability to teach, coach, troubleshoot and develop other welders, and to establish standardized welding practices across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding.
• Experience in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding.
• Knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1, D1.3, ASME B31.3).
• 5+ years of professional welding experience preferred.
• Lead Welder or Welding Trainer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding.
• Provide hands-on instruction in GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW and other welding processes.
• Evaluate welder skill levels and training needs.
• Develop and execute training plans for various welder levels.
• Coach and provide corrective feedback to improve performance.
• Ensure standardized welding practices are followed.
• Support welder qualification testing and recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Production to reduce defects and improve processes.
