Job summary

RK Mechanical, Inc. seeks a Welding Trainer to develop and train welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding, covering GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW. You will work with Production, Quality, and Engineering to ensure welders are qualified and capable of delivering quality welds on schedule.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on welder who can teach, coach, troubleshoot, and develop other welders, with experience in leading training and ensuring adherence to WPS and welding standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional welding experience preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Stainless Steel TIG and Carbon Steel welding.
• Experience with GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding processes.
• Welding school or technical training preferred.
• Previous Lead Welder, Welding Trainer, or similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding across GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW.
• Develop and execute training plans; evaluate welder skill levels.
• Provide coaching and corrective feedback to improve performance.
• Maintain standardized welding practices and procedures.
• Support welder qualification testing and recordkeeping.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to reduce defects.
