Job summary

Trinity Rail Maintenance Services, Inc. in Jonesboro, AR is seeking an Expert Weld Trainer/Tech to deliver classroom, hands-on and OJT training for welders across stainless and carbon steel.

The role supports plant training programs and ensures recruits progress to the floor with reduced ramp-up time. Responsibilities include facilitating training, coaching junior welders, teaching welding procedures, and performing both destructive and non-destructive testing while maintaining safety compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proficient weld experience including stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret weld procedures and drawings.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to explain concepts to other team members.
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom, hands-on, OJT learning for both new and existing employee
• Coach and Train lower level welders
• Make and train welding to stainless and carbon steel
• Train rail car modification and repair procedures
• Perform full welds to subassemblies and to the tank
• Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
• Conduct Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing.
• Follow and train all applicable safety and quality procedures required to perform procedures
• Maintain training documentation and ensure compliance with required standards
• Manage equipment programs to ensure that standards are being met
• Perform other duties as assigned
