Job summary
RK Industries is seeking a Welding Trainer to develop, train, and support welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding. You will work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to ensure welders are properly trained and qualified to produce quality welds while meeting production requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on welder who can teach, coach, troubleshoot, and develop other welders, with expertise in GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW, and related processes, plus
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on welder with ability to teach and coach welders.
- Experience with GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW processes and related welding codes is required.
- Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.3, ASME B31.3 preferred.
- Ability to develop training plans and document progress.
Responsibilities
- Train welders in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel welding.
- Provide hands-on instruction in GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, FCAW.
- Evaluate welder skill levels and training needs.
- Develop and execute training plans for welders.
- Demonstrate welding techniques and production methods.
- Coach and provide feedback to improve performance.
- Maintain standardized welding practices.
- Support welder qualification testing and records.
- Collaborate with Quality to reduce defects and rework.
- Provide technical welding support to production teams.
- Promote safe welding practices.
