Emerson is seeking a Welding Specialist I for the Boulder, CO location on 2nd shift. You will weld in 1G/2G positions using GTAW, inspect welds, and maintain documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will collaborate on NPI projects, support prototype builds, and help uphold quality systems while complying with 5S and calibration requirements.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AAS welding degree preferred.
• Welding experience preferred; familiarity with GTAW techniques.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and continuous improvement tools a plus.

Mansioni

• Produce code-qualified welds in 1G or 2G positions using GTAW, manually and with automated equipment.
• Perform visual weld inspections before, during, and after welding operations.
• Follow safety procedures and promptly address safety concerns.
• Collaborate with co-workers, support staff, and others; share skills and seek feedback.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement processes (CIP) and Lean tools to improve quality metrics.
• Document heat lots, welder IDs, dates, and other process data on shop travelers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization per 5S+1 principles.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) teams with prototype, alpha, and pilot builds.
• Help ensure product and process quality; assist with audits and PMAPS.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Lift up to 35 lbs; operate forklift as needed.
• Willingness to perform other duties per department needs.
