Job summary

Airgas seeks a Welding Sales Specialist to bridge welding engineering with field operations across multiple PA locations, including Reading and Harrisburg. The role focuses on optimizing welding processes, safety, and technology adoption.

You will visit internal plants and client sites to identify bottlenecks, propose advanced technologies, and drive sales growth while mentoring the team and coordinating automation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent welding experience.
• Five or more years in B2B or specialized sales.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Experience advancing fabrication sales methodologies and equipment solutions.
• Ability to mentor sales teams and train customers onsite.
• Experience coordinating installation/servicing of automation projects.
• Ability to gather market trends and customer needs for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate welding/cutting practices and conduct Weld Surveys and Efficiency Analyses to recommend improvements.
• Advance Airgas Advanced Fabrication Sales Methodology to grow capital equipment and robotics solutions.
• Provide knowledgeable support on CNC cutting systems, robotic welding, and plasma/laser integration.
• Mentor the Welding Specialist team; deliver onsite product and application training.
• Coordinate installation and servicing of fixed and robotic automation projects.
