Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a Welding Engineer to own welding processes for precision components in a manufacturing setting. The role drives repeatable joining methods, resolves production challenges, and partners with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve weld integrity, productivity, and product performance.

The engineer will develop welding procedures, evaluate materials and joint designs, and support qualification activities while maintaining technical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting welding processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of welding metallurgy, engineering drawings, weld symbols, inspection methods, and process documentation.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, work with production teams, and communicate corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize welding procedures, process parameters, joint preparation, tooling, and fixturing for new and existing products.
• Evaluate materials, joint designs, heat input, distortion, and weldability to establish reliable production processes.
• Support procedure and welder qualification activities and maintain technical records per customer/industry requirements.
• Investigate weld defects and process variation; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions with manufacturing and quality.
• Partner with design engineers to improve joint accessibility, manufacturability, and assembly consistency.
• Plan welding trials and support inspection, testing, process validation, and transfer of new products into production.
• Train production personnel on approved methods and prepare work instructions and process controls.
• Evaluate welding equipment and process improvements to reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time while ensuring safe operations.
