Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure quality and compliance of welded components. This 6-month on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, with a focus on inspections, documentation, and adherence to AWS D1.1 standards.

Ideally you have 3–5 years in structural welding inspection, plus familiarity with fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and welder qualifications. ITAR considerations apply and candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in welding inspection preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of structural welding inspection experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting structural steel fabrication and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection (VT) of structural welds per AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Evaluate weld workmanship and surface condition.
• Verify weld profiles, sizes and contours; inspect fillet, groove, CJP/PJP welds.
• Review WPS documentation and welder qualifications.
