Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a detail-oriented Welding Inspector to ensure the quality and integrity of welded components. The role involves inspections, documentation review, and ensuring conformance to drawings and AWS standards. It is a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm, for a 6-month period.

Required are 3–5 years of structural welding inspection experience, CWI or VT II certifications preferred, and the ability to work with on-site teams and ITAR restrictions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding inspection training preferred.
• Strong AWS D1.1/visual inspection knowledge required.
• Experience inspecting structural steel welding and fabrications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection (VT) of structural welds per AWS D1.1 criteria.
• Verify weld profiles, sizes, and contour requirements.
• Review welding documentation and welder qualification records.
• Coordinate with NDE personnel for supplementary inspections.
• Generate inspection reports and nonconformance documentation.
