General Motors in Michigan seeks a Manufacturing Welding Engineering Intern to evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment for effectiveness in the body shop. You will provide welding engineering support, participate in process validation, and help troubleshoot on the plant floor.

You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering Technology, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering and be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) in an onsite role at Orion, MI.

Competenze

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must be graduating between August 2027 and June 2029.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week and in a plant environment.

Mansioni

• Provide welding engineering support to the Body production organization.
• Coordinate with engineering & production teams for quality, warranty & cost improvements.
• Process validation experience with new equipment build, installation and start-up.
• Provide plant floor troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Be a technical resource for manufacturing engineers and production teams.
