General Motors Corporation is seeking a Body Welding Execution Engineer to support vehicle launches and current production—from engineering builds through system validation and production. You will lead weld verification, qualification, and program testing while developing welding parameters and processes.

You will collaborate with GM teams, suppliers, and plants to ensure readiness, quality, and seamless integration across North America.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in manufacturing or welding engineering (automotive)
• Strong understanding of body shop equipment and joining processes
• Knowledge of weld verification procedures & documentation
• Ability to lead validation projects when standard work is unavailable
• Strong analytical, multitasking and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Good communication and technical documentation skills
• Experience reading CAD drawings and mechanical diagrams

Responsabilités

• Lead weld verification, qualification, and program testing across launches and production
• Develop welding parameters and processes; review Manufacturing Requirements with teams
• Support integration, startup, debugging of welding equipment and resolve weld-quality issues
• Advance welding technologies through projects including equipment development and validation
• Document weld evaluations, microstructure, and metallography as required
• Collaborate across teams to estimate cost, secure approvals, and digitize weld data
