Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Body Welding Execution Engineer to lead weld verification and program testing across North American launches. You will review designs for resistance-welding compliance, advance welding processes, and provide technical direction to GM plants, suppliers, and partners.

The role requires hands-on experience in welding engineering within manufacturing, strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and travel to support launches and production.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Welding Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in welding engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience supporting automotive welding technology or manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead weld verification, qualification, and program testing across NA launches.
• Review designs for resistance-welding compliance and develop welding parameters.
• Provide technical direction to GM plant teams, suppliers, and partners.
