Job summary

General Motors (GM) is seeking a Welding Engineer to provide daily technical support across body shop welding, dispensing, and joining systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, lead weld verification and qualification, and drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.

The role requires collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to enable launches and stable production across North America.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive welding technology and plant operations.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and mechanical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support across welding, dispensing, and joining systems.
• Lead weld verification, qualification, and deviation testing activities.
• Drive continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
