Job summary

General Motors seeks a Body Welding Execution Engineer to lead weld verification and qualification for vehicle launches and ongoing production across North America. You will develop welding parameters, review requirements, and advance welding systems to meet program and industry standards.

Collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and plant teams, you will drive manufacturing readiness, cost efficiency, and quality improvements while supporting WT/ATW projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing/welding engineering.
• Strong understanding of resistance welding and welding equipment.
• Ability to read CAD drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with validation projects and problem solving.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support vehicle launches and production across North America.
• Lead weld verification, qualification, and program testing.
• Develop welding parameters and processes; review requirements.
• Support integration of welding equipment and troubleshoot weld quality.
• Advance welding technologies through ATW projects.
• Document weld evaluations and testing.
