The role requires planning, executing work efforts, and developing repair technologies for nuclear and environmental projects, interfacing with stakeholders and shipyards. Candidates should hold BS or MS in Welding Eng/Materials or related field, with 3–5+ years of experience, willingness to travel, and the ability to prepare technical submittals.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; or MS Degree with 3+ years.
- Experience making technical presentations and leading laboratory operations in a productive, timely, compliant manner.
- US citizenship due to government contract requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, follow, and execute work efforts; conceive and produce technical instructions and procedures.
- Track procurement actions and budget performance; write technical submittals and recommendations.
- Lead laboratory repair technology development; travel to vendors and shipyards as needed.
- Team with other engineers to identify, test, and evaluate repair technologies for metallic and non-metallic repairs.
