Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Welding Engineer in West Mifflin, PA. The role requires an active DOE clearance or DOD equivalent and involves developing and evaluating repair technologies for naval and federal projects.

You will lead laboratory testing, plan experiments, and coordinate with vendors and shipyards to transfer technology. Strong technical reporting and collaboration with Naval Nuclear Laboratory interfaces are essential.

Qualifications

• Develop, test, evaluate and qualify repair procedures in the lab.
• Lead and execute laboratory operations in a productive, timely, compliant manner.
• Consult with fabrication vendors and shipyards to facilitate technology transfer.
• Prepare technical reports and submittals; interpret specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute work programs; design experiments; analyze results.
• Collaborate with engineers across interfaces including Naval Nuclear Laboratory and shipyards.
• Identify, research, test and evaluate metallic and non-metallic repair technologies.
• Provide project planning, reporting and performance updates within the repair technology group.
