Job summary
Venteon is seeking a Welding Engineer for the Tecumseh, Michigan area. This full-time, permanent position focuses on developing welding technologies tied to new product requirements, supporting operations with equipment knowledge, and guiding weld method improvements across multiple manufacturing processes.
You will lead root-cause analyses, train weld staff, and coordinate with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of related experience or equivalent.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
- Experience with MQ1 and QAD Database systems.
- Demonstrates cooperation and commitment to the team.
- Adaptive to a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on welding knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Develop new welding technologies related to product requirements.
- Support operations by providing equipment knowledge.
- Specify welding equipment, consumables, and related systems.
- Assist in weld quality control processes and root-cause analyses.
- Train and mentor welding staff and coordinate with other departments.
