Skilled US is seeking a Welding Career & Technical Education Instructor to lead welding pathways for high school students and provide workforce-ready programming for adults. The role blends hands-on welding with employability skills, safety oversight, and mentorship across youth and adult learners.

The position is a part-time instructor role with evening blocks available, focused on industry-aligned credentials and career pathways in welding and related trades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification or willingness to obtain.
• NCCER Instructor Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• AWS (American Welding Society) certification desired.
• Experience teaching welding to youth and adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on welding instruction aligned to state IET standards.
• Teach SMAW, GMAW, FCAW and oxy-fuel cutting.
• Deliver workforce readiness curriculum with employability skills.
• Integrate math, blueprint reading, and safety training.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners across ages.
• Support learners with certification preparation and credentialing.
