Skilled US is seeking a part‑time Welding Career & Technical Education Instructor to lead our welding pathway for high school students while delivering workforce‑ready programming for adults and opportunity youth.

The instructor will provide hands‑on, industry‑aligned welding instruction and teach a structured workforce readiness curriculum designed to prepare learners for employment success, including employability skills and career planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to obtain Indiana Workplace Specialist License, or eligibility with 5+ years welding industry experience.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and oxy-fuel cutting.
• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• AWS certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, hands‑on welding instruction aligned to applicable standards.
• Maintain a safe and compliant welding lab environment and enforce PPE and OSHA safety standards.
• Support learners with credential preparation and workforce readiness milestones.
• Foster employer engagement and opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, or work‑based learning.
• Document progress and track credential attainment and program outcomes.
