Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Welder for its Electric Heat division. You will assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include laying out parts, TIG/MIG/SPOT welding, and finishing with grinders.

You may be trained and tested to become ASME certified. This role supports our global, safety‑driven, quality‑conscious team environment.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of TIG, MIG, and SPOT welding equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Welds or tack welds metal parts together, using TIG, MIG, or SPOT welding equipment.
• Removes rough spots from the workpiece using grinder, sander, or saw.
• May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
