Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Welder to assemble and secure sheet metal for electrical and industrial equipment. You will follow engineering drawings to perform TIG, MIG, and spot welds while preparing parts and finishing surfaces.

The role requires reading tapes, understanding drawings, and working in a loud environment. ASME certification may be provided through training, and a strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience or training.
• Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of TIG, MIG, and spot welding equipment/techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts per specifications.
• Weld or tack weld metal parts using TIG, MIG, or spot welding equipment.
• Remove rough spots from workpiece with grinder, sander, or saw.
• May be trained and tested to be ASME certified.
