PeopleReady in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Welder to join our team. You will perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick methods, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specs. This role requires safety-focused work habits and the ability to handle physical labor in a fast-paced environment.

Shift is 1st Shift (Day). Pay ranges from $25 to $30 per hour with competitive benefits. You’ll use JobStack to view schedules and track hours as part of a supportive staffing platform.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old
• Previous welding experience needed
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Knowledge of different welding techniques and materials
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina

Responsabilités

• Perform welding tasks on metal components using MIG, TIG, or stick welding
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications
• Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and aligning parts
• Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
• Follow all safety protocols and wear protective gear to ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain and clean welding equipment and tools
• Record and report any issues or discrepancies in welding tasks
