Job summary

American Trim is seeking a skilled welder to join our 1st shift team in New York. You will set up equipment, read blueprints, perform TIG/MIG welding with some stick experience, and ensure quality and safety in every part produced.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; JVS Hobart welding a plus.
• Blueprint reading with weld symbols.
• Experience with oxygen/acetylene welding and TIG/MIG welding.
• Welding aluminum, stainless steel and mild steel.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, fixtures and ensure product quality.
• Meet established production rates and use QAD pick list.
• Handle fixture setup and ensure proper job setup.
• Ensure quality of parts with dimensional and visual checks.
• Follow safety procedures (JSA/ESA/ASA) and wear PPE.
• Communicate with shift supervisor, tooling and quality engineers.
• Report downtime, scrap and part completion; track SPC data when needed.
• Interpret blueprints or specifications for welding the product.
