Job summary

Express Employment is looking for a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team in New York. The role involves MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel components according to customer specs, with a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday shift.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of welding experience, 6 months in manufacturing preferred, and be able to read blueprints, understand work orders, and lift up to 45 pounds while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year welding experience is required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on manufactured components
• Review and understand work instructions and blueprints to ensure proper components are used
• Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problems
• Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders
• Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
• Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
• Adhere to all company safety regulations
• Other duties as assigned
