Job summary

Alternate Number Five Inc. in Grand Haven, Michigan, is seeking a skilled manual MIG welder to join our manufacturing team.

You will perform high-quality welds, read blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, and ensure safety and production standards in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a four-day work week, overtime opportunities, a 3rd shift premium of $1.00 per hour, plus health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a retirement plan, and ongoing training

Qualifications

• Experience with welding in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Experience operating welding, grinding, and fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely use measuring and inspection tools.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable manual MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality manual welding operations on a variety of metal components while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, using welding equipment, and producing consistent welds in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

What You\'ll Do

• Perform manual welding operations using MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production drawings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Meet daily production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
