Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a Welder on 1st shift to fabricate and assemble metal components using MIG/TIG and other processes. The role requires strong attention to detail, safety discipline, and prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

The candidate will read blueprints, set up equipment, and ensure weld quality meets standards. Strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to stand for extended periods are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding certification preferred.
• 1–3+ years welding experience in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG experience a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes based on job requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials (wire, gas, etc.).
• Fabricate and assemble metal parts and structures according to specifications.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and conformance to standards.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
• Collaborate with team members, quality inspectors, and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
