Job summary

nVenia, part of the Duravant family, seeks a Welder II in Wood Dale, IL. The role builds on Welder I skills, performing MIG/TIG welds and interpreting blueprints to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include weld setups, parameter adjustments, defect troubleshooting, and supporting Welder I training. This full-time position includes benefits and growth opportunities within the Duravant family.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years welding experience
• Proficiency in MIG or TIG welding
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, tolerances
• Ability to adjust amperage, voltage, gas flow for quality welds
• Identify and correct common weld defects
• Experience with fixturing, part preparation and basic tooling
• Basic measuring tools: tape, calipers, square, protractor
• Basic computer skills to access job documentation and prints

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to intermediate weld setups independently
• Produce quality welds in MIG or TIG
• Interpret welding drawings and requirements
• Adjust welding parameters to ensure quality
• Troubleshoot minor weld defects
• Assist in training Welder I employees
• Support workflow through fit-up, staging, and part preparation
