Job summary

RedGuard in New Iberia, LA, is seeking a Skilled Welder II to fabricate, weld, and install steel components for blast-resistant modular buildings. You will work with cranes, torches, plasma, hand tools and welding machines to meet quality and AWS/ABS/DNV standards.

The role requires 2+ years of structural steel welding, blueprint reading, and safety compliance; you will maintain quality, follow schedules and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
• Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math.
• Pass weld tests and obtain required welding certifications.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical and overhead positions.
• Performs daily fit up and layout duties.
• Fabricates pieces per specifications and blueprints.
• Maintain schedule and adhere to safety rules.
