Job summary

RedGuard Diversified Structures is seeking a Welder I to perform welding and final installation of steel components for storm shelters and metal buildings in our Kansas production facility.

You will use cranes, torches, plasma, and welding machines, following RGDS quality standards to deliver a quality product on time. The role requires passing weld tests and adhering to safety protocols in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Capable of passing weld tests with Short Arc and Spray Arc MIG.
• Knowledge of proper welding techniques and quality-minded workflow.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Prepares materials and sets up welding equipment and tools.
• Operates welding equipment and material handling equipment like overhead cranes.
• Maintains schedule and budgets for the task and project.
• Cross-trains in related manufacturing stages as needed.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a clean, safe work area.
