Job summary

Lange Company in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Skilled Welder II to fabricate, weld, and install steel components for blast‑resistant, modular buildings. You will work with cranes, jigs, torches, plasma, hand tools and welding machines to meet third‑party inspection standards under AWS, ABS and DNV.

You will join a safety‑minded team, maintain quality, read blueprints, and complete daily fit up, layout, and fabrication tasks while adhering to budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of structural steel welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and product specifications.
• Must pass onsite welding tests and third‑party inspections.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical and overhead positions.
• Performs daily fit up and layout duties.
• Fabricates pieces to conform with specs and blueprints.
• Maintains schedules and budgets for tasks and projects.
• Cross-trains in multiple manufacturing tasks and adheres to safety rules.
