Job summary

Structural Group is seeking skilled Ironworker and Structural Welders to join our on-site team at Baton Rouge and Geismar, LA. You will fabricate, weld, and install structural steel components for various industrial construction projects, with emphasis on safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years as Ironworker or Structural Welder.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of welding procedures and structural installation practices.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass weld test and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel components.
• Erect structural steel, platforms, pipe racks, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel.
• Perform SMAW and FCAW welding per project specs and codes.
• Rig, signal, and assist crane operations during steel erection.
• Align and bolt structural members using templates and levels.
• Inspect welds and connections for quality and compliance.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and site policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors and teams to meet project schedules.
