Job summary

RedGuard Diversified Structures is seeking a Welder I to perform welding and final installation of steel components for residential and commercial storm shelters and engineered metal buildings. You will work with cranes, torches, plasma, hand tools, and welding machines while meeting RGDS Quality Standards.

The role requires passing weld tests, knowledge of welding techniques, and ability to pass certifications.

Qualifications

• Capable of passing weld tests with Short Arc and Spray Arc MIG welding.
• Knowledge of proper welding techniques.
• Ability to pass company-required welding certifications.
• Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to successfully use hand tools such as grinders, torches, plasma, and other job-specific tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
• Prepares and sets up materials for welding using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Operates welding equipment and material handling tools including overhead cranes.
• Maintains schedule and budgets for tasks and projects.
• Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in manufacturing processes as assigned.
• Follows safety rules and maintains a clean, safe work area.
