Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Penrose, CO is hiring a Welder / Fabricator to support onsite fabrication and upcoming Pueblo, CO transition. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment across MIG, TIG and Stick processes, and fabricate components for precision manufacturing in a high-stakes environment.

The role emphasizes quality welds, adherence to specifications, and collaboration with engineers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years welding/fabrication experience or completion of an accredited welding trade program with hands-on proficiency.
• Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding across varying materials.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings and work orders with strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of metal properties and fabrication techniques; experience with hand tools, power tools and shop machinery.
• Strong self-starter with ability to work independently and in a fast-paced startup environment with safety as a priority.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine fabrication specs.
• Set up and operate welding equipment across MIG, TIG, and Stick processes to meet standards.
• Cut, shape, and fit metal parts using saws, plasma cutters, and grinders.
• Inspect welds and parts for quality, document production records.
• Operate tools safely and maintain welding equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area per OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members on project requirements.
