Voyager Technologies in Penrose, CO (with expected move to Pueblo, CO) seeks a Chemical Engineer to support establishing a new chemical manufacturing facility by specifying, procuring, designing, building, testing, and commissioning process equipment. Reports to Chief Engineer and part of Chemicals and Explosives Team.

The role is on-site, with travel up to 15%. Must have degree or 4+ years experience, strong fundamentals in mass and energy balances, unit operations, and ability to communicate

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline OR 4+ years of experience in chemical engineering in lieu of a degree
• Experience taking a process through design, testing, iteration, and scale-up
• Experience executing a project on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Working knowledge of mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Working knowledge of common unit operations employed in chemical manufacturing
• Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation channels while explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Responsabilidades

• Translating lab data into process requirements and equipment specifications
• Procuring existing industrial equipment where it meets cost, schedule, and performance requirements
• Developing and building first-principles solutions alongside the technician team, where existing equipment does not meet the above requirements
• Testing, refining, and commissioning equipment to bring systems into operation
• Contributing to the safe development and operation of equipment
• Identifying, communicating, and tracking engineering risks and mitigations
