This position is ideal for a skilled fabricator with strong GTAW/TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel, who can read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.What You’ll DoPerform GTAW/TIG welding, with an emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.Operate welding machines, hand tools, drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.Set up and operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment.Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, filler gauges, and other inspection tools.Identify welding and fabrication issues during setup and production and make appropriate adjustments or corrections.Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.Perform basic fabrication operations including cutting, drilling, grinding, buffing, and fitting.Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, hand trucks, and pallet jacks/skid jacks.Complete production paperwork and enter required data accurately.Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Work effectively with team members and assist with training others when needed.Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.Check out our Google ReviewsVisit us on our LinkedIn and Facebook company pages#IND1What We’re Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent.3+ years of stainless steel welding experience using GTAW/TIG.3+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.Strong understanding of welding and fabrication processes.Experience using precision measuring instruments.Basic computer skills.Ability to perform basic math, including fractions, decimals, metric-to-inch conversions, basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry using a calculator.Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.Willingness to learn new skills and train others.Experience operating forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, and other material-handling equipment is preferred.Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to perform hands-on welding and fabrication work in a manufacturing environment.
