Job summary

UDP TN HAULING LLC in Kentucky is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. The role involves MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, reading blueprints, cutting and fabricating metal components, and setting up shop equipment.

You will work with steel and aluminum, ensure high-quality workmanship, and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. Experience reading drawings and attention to detail are essential; certifications are a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in welding and metal fabrication preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with MIG welding required; TIG and/or Stick experience is a plus.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels.
• Familiarity with common fabrication equipment and hand/power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift, move, and position materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on various metals and materials.

• Cut, fit, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication tools.
• Measure and inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Perform grinding, finishing, and other preparation work as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or material defects.
• Work independently as well as with other members of the fabrication team.
• Complete projects within established quality and production requirements.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and using various shop tools and equipment.
