Qualifications

• Experienced Welder/Fabricator with GTAW/TIG welding, especially stainless steel.

• Capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding, with emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.
• Operate welding machines, hand tools, drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Set up and operate metal fabrication equipment.
• Use precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, filler gauges).
• Identify welding/fabrication issues and make adjustments.
• Inspect completed work for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform basic fabrication operations including cutting, drilling, grinding, buffing, fitting.
• Operate forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Complete production paperwork and enter required data accurately.
• Follow instructions with minimal supervision; maintain clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with team and assist training as needed.

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our client’s precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled fabricator with strong GTAW/TIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel, who can read blueprints, operate fabrication equipment, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Perform GTAW/TIG welding, with an emphasis on stainless steel fabrication.
• Operate welding machines, hand tools, drill presses, manual mills, and manual lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Set up and operate a variety of metal fabrication equipment.
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, filler gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Identify welding and fabrication issues during setup and production and make appropriate adjustments or corrections.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and dimensional requirements.
• Perform basic fabrication operations including cutting, drilling, grinding, buffing, and fitting.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, power lifts, jib cranes, hand trucks, and pallet jacks/skid jacks.
• Complete production paperwork and enter required data accurately.
• Follow verbal and written instructions and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work effectively with team members and assist with training others when needed.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
