  • Measure and inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or material defects.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, metal fabrication, reading blueprints, and using various shop tools and equipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on various metals and materials.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and welding symbols.Cut, fit, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications.Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication tools.Measure and inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.Perform grinding, finishing, and other preparation work as needed.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.Identify and report quality issues, equipment problems, or material defects.Work independently as well as with other members of the fabrication team.Complete projects within established quality and production requirements.QualificationsPrevious experience in welding and metal fabrication preferred.Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints.Experience with MIG welding required; TIG and/or Stick experience is a plus.Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels.Familiarity with common fabrication equipment and hand/power tools.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to lift, move, and position materials safely.Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.Welding certifications are a plus but not required.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as required.Ability to work around heat, sparks, fumes, and industrial equipment while using appropriate PPE.Preferred SkillsExperience working with structural steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.Ability to perform layout and fit-up work.Experience with custom fabrication or production welding.Familiarity with CNC plasma/laser cutting equipment is a plus.Ability to troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues.BenefitsHealth/Dental/Vision InsurancePaid Time Off401(k)Previous welding and/or metal fabrication experience preferred; experience level will be considered based on demonstrated skills and ability.Ability to read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and instructions.Basic knowledge of MIG welding; additional welding experience is a plus.Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment.Ability to measure and inspect work for accuracy and quality.Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.Ability to follow safety procedures and properly use required PPE.Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move materials as required.Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
