Job summary

Henderson Products, Inc. is seeking an Installation Technician for the night shift (4:00 PM–2:00 AM, Mon–Fri) in Huntley, IL. You will MIG weld, fabricate, and assemble equipment for heavy-duty work trucks, performing up-fit and installation with attention to accuracy and safety.

The role involves reading schematics/diagrams/blueprints, shop math, and reading wiring diagrams. Prior welding and manufacturing experience is preferred; knowledge of hydraulics/electrical systems is a plus, and

Qualifications

• Basic shop math and ability to interpret instructions/diagrams/blueprints.
• Hand dexterity and use of hand tools.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a team environment.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with welding and assembly processes.
• Technical degree or certifications in welding/electrical/hydraulics helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, fabrication and assembly for heavy-duty truck up-fits.
• Read schematics, diagrams and blueprints; perform shop math as needed.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing systems; familiarity with wiring, electrical and hydraulics is a plus.

NIGHT SHIFT - 4:00PM to 2:00AM - Monday through Friday

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up-fit and installation of equipment on heavy-duty work truck builds.

The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and/or hydraulics is a plus.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (preferred)

• Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, electrical, hydraulics), not required

Working Conditions

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
