Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. located in Huntley, IL is seeking an Installation Technician to join our heavy bay team on the night shift. You will perform MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly for up-fitting and installing equipment on heavy-duty trucks, reading schematics and blueprints, and performing shop math.

The role involves diagnosis, repair work, and knowledge of wiring, electrical systems, and hydraulics are a plus. We offer strong benefits, PTO, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic shop math and ability to read instructions, diagrams and blueprints.
• Hand dexterity and ability to use hand tools.
• Willing to work in a team environment.
• Experience in manufacturing and welding/assembly is preferred.
• Technical degree or welding/electrical/hydraulics certs are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly for up-fit of equipment.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints; perform shop math.

Join Henderson Products Inc., located at 11921 Smith Dr, Huntley, IL! We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi-purpose equipment for heavy-duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and “Keeping America’s Roads Safe!”

NIGHT SHIFT - 4:00PM to 2:00AM - Monday through Friday

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up-fit and installation of equipment on heavy-duty work truck builds.

The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and/or hydraulics is a plus.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (preferred):

• Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, electrical, hydraulics), not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
