Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. in Kenvil, NJ is seeking an Installation Technician to join our heavy bay team. You will perform MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly as we up-fit and install equipment on heavy-duty work trucks.

You will read schematics, diagrams and blueprints, perform shop math, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Welding, electrical, and hydraulics knowledge is a plus; teamwork and manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass weld test for uphill and vertical welding.
• Basic shop math and ability to read diagrams & blueprints.
• Team-oriented with manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with weld and assembly processes.
• Technical degree or certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly in up-fit and installation on heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnostic and repair work; read schematics, diagrams, blueprints; perform shop math.
• Ensure accurate installations and repairs; work with wiring, electrical systems, hydraulics a plus.

Day Shift Hours! Monday – Friday: 6:00AM to 4:30PM

As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up‑fit and installation of equipment on heavy‑duty work truck builds.

The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and/or hydraulics is a plus.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (preferred):

• Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, electrical, hydraulics), not required

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (required):

• Must be able to successfully pass a weld test for uphill and vertical welding.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
