Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. in Bucyrus, OH, is seeking an Installation Technician for our heavy bay team to weld MIG, fabricate, and assemble up-fit equipment on heavy-duty trucks.

You will read schematics, diagrams and blueprints, perform shop math, and diagnose and repair installations; knowledge of wiring, electrical systems or hydraulics is a plus, and you should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in MIG welding and fabrication for heavy-duty truck upfit projects.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and blueprints and perform shop math.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting in a team environment.
• Previous experience in welding, assembly, and knowledge of hydraulics is a plus.
• Technical degree or welding/electrical hydraulics certifications are helpful but not required.

• Install equipment on heavy-duty trucks, including MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly.
• Read schematics and diagrams, perform shop math, diagnose, and repair to ensure proper installations.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up-fit and installation of equipment on heavy-duty work truck builds.

The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and/or hydraulics is a plus.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (preferred):

• Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, electrical, hydraulics), not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
