Job Summary

This position operates various pieces of equipment to fabricate materials per customer specifications in conjunction with quality requirements, safety standards, and manufacturing philosophies within a team environment. Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other instructions.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Interpret and work from complex sketches, drawings, blueprints, routings, and product specifications.
• Produce high-quality products with superb craftsmanship.
• Create custom fabrications from Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Mild Steel for commercial and industrial clients.
• Ensure on-time delivery of fabricated metal products.
• Maintain quality standards in production.
• Prioritize safety in all work activities.
• Practice good housekeeping and waste management.

Summary of Secondary Job Functions

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in Metal Fabrication.
• Relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of fixturing and weld set-up parameters (amps, volts, etc.).
• Strong skills in MIG and TIG welding.
• Motivated with a willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret shop and design drawings.
• Proficiency in layout and measurement.
• Knowledge of hand tools, grinding, detailed finishing, cutting, sawing, and bending skills.
• Ability to operate industrial forklifts and cranes.
