JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Industrial Welder/Fabricator & Insulation Technician

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Welder/Fabricator Technician who is also experienced in industrial insulation. This dual-role position is ideal for a versatile tradesperson capable of working from blueprints to fabricate, install, and repair metal structures and piping, while also installing various types of insulation materials to ensure thermal, fire, and acoustic performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Welding/Fabrication Duties: MIG welding experience, knowledge of welding techniques for all gauges of metals including aluminum and stainless steel, ability to read blueprints and operate basic hand/air tools, grinding, insulating, painting, and assembly experience, strong mathematics and analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adherence to safety practices.
2. Insulation Duties: Measure and cut insulation materials, install insulation around pipes, tanks, vessels, and ductwork, apply weatherproof jacketing, remove and replace damaged insulation, ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. General: Operate forklifts, cranes, and other lifting devices; contribute to a safe and organized work environment; undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Education and Experience:

Required: High school diploma or GED; ability to travel up to 30-40% domestically; proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding; familiarity with insulation materials; ability to interpret engineering drawings; OSHA safety standards knowledge; capable of working at heights and in confined or extreme environments.

Preferred: 2-5 years related experience; welding program diploma or coursework; OSHA 10/30 certification; knowledge of metallurgy and industrial insulation practices; strong mechanical aptitude and stamina.

Physical Demands:

Exposure to heavy fabrication environments, dust, noise, and temperature variations; physical activities including lifting, pulling, reaching, climbing, and standing for extended periods; ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Safety:

Adherence to strict safety protocols including PPE requirements such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, gloves, hard hats, high-visibility clothing, and respiratory protection.
