Job summary

Welder/Fabricator (Shop) in Ashland, VA is a full-time, shop-based role focused on fabricating miscellaneous parts and structural frames. You will weld both independently and as part of a team, with a schedule of Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM and overtime often available.

Requirements include at least 2 years of welding/fabrication experience, ability to read instructions, and a basic understanding of metallurgy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years welding/fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and work with a team.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and basic metallurgy.
• Ability to plan work and select appropriate tools and equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Measure, layout, and fit parts according to specifications.
• Cut materials using saws, ironworkers, and metalworking equipment.
• Prepare components for welding using grinders and related tools.
• Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Determine proper welding methods and equipment based on materials.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials and finished products.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Location: Ashland, VA

Pay: Based on experience and skill level

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available)

Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator for a full-time, shop-based role focused on fabricating miscellaneous parts and structural frames. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on welding experience who can work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of welding/fabrication experience
• Ability to read and follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and basic metallurgy
• Ability to plan work and select appropriate tools and equipment
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule & Benefits:

• Full-time: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime frequently available)
