Job summary

IES is seeking skilled Welders/Fabricators to join Freeman West. The role focuses on MIG and Flux Core welding with aluminum, steel, and stainless components.

Job Title: Welder/Fabricator

Location: Freeman West

Overview

Freeman West is seeking skilled Welders/Fabricators to join our team. This position will focus primarily on MIG and Flux Core welding (depending on department) and requires proficiency in welding aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience welding/fabricating, be required to perform weld tests, read tape measures, and work at heights on platform ladders and scissor lifts.

Specific Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities:

• MIG & Flux Core: Perform MIG/Flux Core/TIG welding, primarily on aluminum, steel,and stainless steel components, ensuring strong and precise welds.
• Structural & Sheet Metal Welding: Weld heavy tubing and sheet metal (14 gauge),including structural and plenum work.
• Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of custom components, ensuring accuracy indimensions and design specifications.
• Blueprint & Tape Measure Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and schematics todetermine welding requirements; accurately measure and cut materials using tapemeasures.
• Work at Heights: Safely operate platform ladders and scissor lifts to perform weldingtasks in elevated work areas.
