Job summary

nVent is hiring a Welder at our Fulton, MO facility to read blueprints, set up welding operations, and fabricate parts to customer specifications. The role requires accurate measurement, safe operation of welding equipment, and adherence to quality standards.

You will participate in coordinated teamwork with leads and inspectors, maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow SOPs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of welding experience, training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and tape measures.
• Production welding experience and/or a Welding Certificate preferred.
• Experience operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Gather materials and perform layouts according to production requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and rework defects as needed.
• Operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Coordinate with Leads and Inspectors to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
